Government Primary School 🕵️‍♀️

How might we enable the power of creative learning to unlock the potential of every learner from disadvantaged backgrounds?

I express my sincere gratitude to Lalit Vikamshi, Director, Alag Angle Studio, Nagpur, India, Shweta Bhattad, an acclaimed artist and philanthropist, initiator of I Have A Dream Project and Gram Art Project, and last but not the least Aditi Bhattad, art educator and artist, for assisting me in conducting the workshop with Grade 3-5 students at Government Primary School, Paradsinga, India.

The workshop focused on understanding and eliminating the social boundaries between teachers and students. The activities were inspired by Gestalt Theory, developed by Fritz Perls in the 1940s and 50s. These workshops' outcomes were fascinating to witness as the students demonstrated their understanding of the current relationship with their faculties and what they intended to see in the future. I introduced drawing and puppet making as the tools for these interactions.
